Maintaining the right levels of cholesterol is crucial and so certain lifestyle habits must be adopted including a having healthy diet and exercise.

A close eye should also be kept on the quality of the cholesterol, specifically for example levels of LDL-cholesterol (also known colloquially as “bad” cholesterol) and oxidised LDL-cholesterol (oxycholesterol).

Scientific research highlights the importance of cholesterol oxidation: a process that alters its size, making it more reactive and likely to accumulate in the body. In order to control our cardiovascular health, it is therefore recommended to analyse three parameters: total cholesterol, LDL (“bad” cholesterol) and LDLox (oxidised “bad” cholesterol).

The exclusive formula of OXICOL contains monacolin K from red yeast rice which helps maintain the right levels of cholesterol* in the blood. It also includes olive extract rich in hydroxytyrosol that contributes to inhibiting oxidation of LDL particles in the blood, and is rounded out with grape extract and resveratrol that contain polyphenols and anthocyanidins.

AVERAGE INGREDIENTS PER DAILY DOSE (1 CAPSULE): 250 mg red yeast rice (Monascus purpureus) (10 mg monacolin K), 192 mg grape extract (Vinitis vinifera L.) (48 mg polyphenols) (2.9 mg anthocyanidins), 72 mg olive extract (Olea europaea L.) (5 mg hydroxytyrosol), 8 mg resveratrol.
